Thanks, I was wondering about the headphone connector size. I have a Moon Silver Dragon I bought a while back for the HE1000v1 that I was going to re-terminate for the HE1000SE. I guess now I'll get it re-terminated for the Susvara:)
There's no indication on the packaging, so no way of knowing which one you will get. I bought my Susvara a month back. Got the 2.5mm connection. If someone with a 3.5mm termination can chime in, regarding any indication on that packaging. Would be helpful for you.

No indication on the box

but if it recently came from hifiman (ie last 6 months) i think you’ll find it’s 3.5mm

my local store ordered my pair in december 2020

I have no problem with Amir and do appreciate his work and all the info he shares. What I don't like is this closed minded cult that has formed around him that believe a handful of measurements tell you everything you need to know about something as subjective as hifi.

Also, this obsession with distortion figures and SINAD as if we're talking about equipment made to detect heart arrhythmia in a clinical setting. Whoever said distortion is bad when it comes to music? That's a joke to rock music, people who enjoy tube amps, or even precision crafted solid state amplifiers that use harmonic distortion to add character and a bit of warmth to the sound signature.
Sbaf, head-fi are also considered " cults " by some. Perhaps even rightfully as they all tribal in their thinking. I am on all 3 though, as they all offer something unique and I appreciate that. Sbaf are the modders, headfi offers great user experience for problem solving or finding out about updates ( like the 3.5mm on Susvara ) and Audioscience is for the engineering aspect. No need to rag or dump on anyone, who doesn't align with my own thinking. Be informed in whatever aspect you need to, from them and move on.

Susvara with FSS pads is waaaay better than stock pads, no question of going back to them! Better dynamics, more life, cleaner, more upper midrange, more aggressiveness, soundstage is closer, only bass was slightly less, but that's nothing. Now I have to raise money for Susvara ...

Has someone the Luxman P750u? Wondering how they drive the Susvara must be made in heaven.
The Luxman drives the Susvara’s brilliantly!
