This is the Silver Awg20 Grand Line cable by Lavricables. They have kindly sent it in for a review.

Is anyone able to confirm that the Hugo 2 TT is powerful enough for the Susvaras, and the 4pin XLR pictured here will work with it? To me it looks like it would need an adaptor?

If you mean to connect it to the XLR out in the back, yes, you need an adapter. Plenty of folks here who can provide the info. I owned a TT2 briefly but did not have the Susavara at the time. You will likely hear people saying you need a more powerful amplifier. Ask in the TT2 thread and you will hear the opposite...

Hey! My 4s are sonically light, and they make me feel even lighter whenever I have them on

It all depends on what's playing or streaming at the source... Susvaras are the same, but the 4s can even sound lighter on occasion

Ergo: The magic of music can trump gravity:slight_smile::slight_smile::slight_smile:

YMMV, of course, but always enjoy the music :slight_smile::slight_smile:.
Those wings you got there...are those part of the LCD-4 delivery or did you have to buy them extra? I guess I would rather have the smaller sized one for each side of my head...but that would make a lot of flapping noise and these are open HPs, and so...it will not work. OK, at least I tried! :)

For me anything above 500g too much. Solitaire P is 520g and it is just at the border - even that is sometimes too much. I really don't get the "built like a tank" HPs, as I don't kick or punch HPs. People complain about the HifiMan build quality but for me they have the best balance of build and comfort. If HFM one day brings out a Susvara with better efficiency, I will go for it immediately. Until that day, my neck will need to approve what my ears tell me.

I find that a pilot pad really helps in the comfort department though:

Thank you for the suggestion. It might just be my neck, but I take long listening sessions while working, interrupted by meetings or food. Such heavy headphones are not suitable for that.

I was actually considering the R10P but choosing a HFM over the others for me is mainly due to the construction. Otherwise I use EQ anyway and all those TOTL HPs are born geniuses and you need to "teach" them to be smart for a particular music and preference by using the EQ. I don't like the headband design of R10P, as it will most probably be uncomfortable for my head.

So now that my P-SE landed on my wife's desk, I might consider the HEKse to complement the Solitaire P. But I will probably first wait for an efficient Susvara for a while more.

Easily a first round knock out

will not take long imho
Well, my V281 says he is too civilized and cultured to take part in any UFC brawls, so please mind your rhetoric  :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

He is a charmer and pleaser, not a fighter:slight_smile::slight_smile::slight_smile:

There is no better headphone out there Susvara is KING! Utopia to narrow metallic. Abyss TC recessed mids. LCD-4 no highs.
This is the only TOTL headphones without flaws! Beats even my reference for years the SR007 MK2 bass port mod + KGSSHv Carbon.
Great with V281 and even with my Shanling M8 amazing!
Tsk. If you don't want to scale the TC notably with a great tube amp, then you should have leveled your 007 with the DIY T2. These pairings are what the Susvara strived to be but couldn't quite reach. A more attainable realm also was the HE90 and Megatron. Still think the 007 matched better.

Technically the sr009 is already better then 007. Susvara is level above 007 on par with 009 but better tonality. No amp will change the technicalities so far.
And the TC is a case for EQing no thanks.

Never understand that you sold T2 + 009 and went the way to the TC with such a lot flaws in frequency.
But yeah it's a fun headphone but could never be for me the main headphone.

Yes, technically the lines are too far apart but the tonality isn't a inconsequential matter.

I sold the T2/009 and went Martin Logan Neolith electrostat speakers. However, during this pandemic I've come back to headphones and am comfortably served with the Primavera and TC (for some corrective measure) and CFA3 TC which is my actual preferred pairing and Uberamp and SR1a. From headphones, to earspeakers, to reference speakers, I'm set.

I think you made a good point here. The Abyss is a FUN headphone. I put it on when I want a lively and fun listening experience. I listen to the Susvara when I want to sink into the music and it's musicality or timbre is unmatched for me.
