Thats is very interesting and does make me rethink, as I enjoy bass driven music primarily so perhaps this isn't a good fit for me after all if it is less so than the Empyrean.

The Meze's are wonderfully comfortable, much as I would expect the Susvaras to be.

I thought of looking into the Abyss, but the size/weight and form factor is somewhat off-putting.

With no burning reason to change from the Empyreans, it could be best that I stay as I am.

If you have the opportunity to try them, definitely do so. A blind switch could be risky especially if you like bass driven music.

I never had issues with comfort on headphones, but the Empyrean wow'ed me in that regards. Still the Susvara remains a very comfortable headphone.

Actually there should be an Audeze announcement this month, considering it's the last of April, it should be today.

However it's not sure that it will be a LCD-5.
The LCD-5 certainly would be one of the most interesting New headphones

Mine as well, for two reasons.

Eirher the LCD-5 is so good that I want it or there are many cheap LCD-4s around from those wanting to upgrade.

So either way, I hope it still takes a while

I hope it is not going to be the next "heavy weight champion" of HPs. The weight of LCD-4 is just absurd.

There is no better headphone out there Susvara is KING! Utopia to narrow metallic. Abyss TC recessed mids. LCD-4 no highs.
This is the only TOTL headphones without flaws! Beats even my reference for years the SR007 MK2 bass port mod + KGSSHv Carbon.
Great with V281 and even with my Shanling M8 amazing!

The Sus, properly powered, esp with an amp that can bring out its bass and slam capabilities, is a great upgrade to the Empyrean. It’s not just details or technical performance, the Susvara, to my ears, is a perfectly tuned headphone. Great bass extension, mids, and treble also extended (Susvara has some great air), without ever being sibilant.

LCD5 will be 1kg and come with a bodybuilding head chain and a 20kg weight to build up your neck strength so you can listen to the LCD-5 for more than 10mins lol
