@koven

Thank you! I'm still running a quasi near-field system in a less than ideal room these days however many of the components have changed. TAD's CR-1's have replaced the Harbeths, and Tube Pre from Line Magnetic alongside Hypex NC1200 Class D mono's have replaced the vintage Sansui. The room is also my headphone space. I'm tempted to get a 2 channel class D amplifier and be done with it, and had I only owned a pair of class TC's I may have done that but the recent acquisition of a pair TH900's dictates the acquisition of a proper headphone amplifier.

My listening room now looks like this:

Those TADs tho... <drooling emoji here>

I'm looking for a Susvara set now. What amp and Dac do you all recommend for the Susvara? It seems higher power is always recommended. I don't listen to Rock at all just more Classical and Acoustic
Congratulations on your Susvara.
This thread is filled with more Q&A about amplification for the Susvara than the Susvara itself.

I have always said that about this thread. There is more talk about amping these damn things than there is about what they sound like and other things like fit, pads, cables.

Ok so I'm finally fed up with the stock cable lol. Is there a well made cable that people recommend that won't break the bank? Not much of a cable guy myself, I'm always just interested in good build quality at a fair price. Any insight would be helpful!

If you're in the EU, contact "@skedra" on telegram.
He makes simply gooorgeous cables. How much it will cost depends on what you want, but it will be less than buying it from many alternatives.

Some of his stuff:

Normally would suggest Norne Audio but I think he is backlogged for a couple weeks at the moment. If you need something more immediate, I would recommend the Cardas Clear or Wywires Platinum. Wywires has a sale currently as well. Personally I'm using the Wywires and like it a lot, highly resolving sound but perhaps more importantly I'm a fan of the lightweight feel.

Nah, not going to say anything other than the stock Susvara cable has to go. I think that we all can agree on that.
