HiFiMan Susvara

as i mentioned if i had to choose between the 2 i would take the TC but it is so close that i go back and forth all the time....that said given that the susvara is a few yrs older than the TC the lower price of the susvara makes them the choice as of now....
It’s a good thing you have both so you don’t have to make that decision. I have the Susvara’s and I so desperately want the Phi TC’s now that I’ve heard it. It’s a unique looking and sounding headphone like the Susvara’s.

Well, live music is very energetic. The more of energy, the better, eh? Or were these cans too offensive to you?
Wow... are you sure if it’s also very good when you feel you want to vomit after listening 15mins?
With sr1a I have a feeling of that
But with susvara and abyss 1266tc I don’t
Of course again it might be the amp problem with sr1a, I will test next month with Absolare int amp

Live music can overload the senses causing some to feel queasy. It's happened to me more than once. This might be a silly question but did you try lowering the volume? I tend to listen to the SR1a at a lower volume than Susvara/Abyss TC. The resolution is high enough to allow me to do that.

I don't think a $25k integrated amp is the solution but it would probably sound amazing :)

Of course I did lower the volume however it sounded too less and we have four people listening to this headphone with the similar volume do I don’t think I’m on the top high volume side
However I’m not hearing live but studio pop recordings with 5 Instruments max in the track

May I know what are you using for your susvara abyss and sr1a?

This is not good at all, but never occured to any of our staff at HQ. If it makes you feel bad, then it's understood that you want to limit the sensation. All good.

Yeah, it's possible

My hardest decision of the day is whether to listen to the Susvara, the Stax 009S, or one of my speaker setups. Real world problems... :joy:

The difference between great, great, and great...

Wow! Queuecumber. You must be going through a midlife crisis right now. Lol. Too bad i don't get to make those kinds of decisions as i probably got time to listen to all my high end gear like once a week.

Buy them, get a vintage speaker amp off craigslist for less than $300 and then see if you need a spendy amp.
Kinda missed that one, any love in specific for the vintage ones in your own stable?
