I don't think I've ever seen a trade in deal that looks like a rip off lol. Usually if you do that, you give a deeper discount and the point is to also give loyal customers a reward to build towards longer lifetime customer value on their end. That "deal" is crazy lol

The susvara unveiled was available new for 5600 during headphones . com's canjam sale. It was a -30% coupon only available for a very short period of time, but I'm sure these type of sales will be available from time to time. But yeah this trade in is awful value.

It’s open box demo unit but it’s almost new in that sense

Thanks for you impressions. One note: May is not a punchy sounding dac, it’s definitely on the softer side. Wavelight is significantly punchier, not to speak of Lampi Baltic / Atlantic or the monstrous Wavedream Sig.
I imagine with something like Wavedream Sig the bass would be very much to your liking :]
Yeah, next year i want to get a completely different sounding DAC + amp, at the moment i'm eyeing something like a TT2 + Mscaler with a Niimbus.
I'm done with headphones. Almost. A CC will come soon just to have a closed-back.

How to convert Susvara Unveiled into "Portable" ones... Well, with a Questyle CMA18P....

IMG_6042.jpg

The best thing about these Susvara is that they are much easier to extract oil...and this is the evidence...with the unbeatable CMA18P...a prodigy of power and sound.. 8)

The MIDS that these Unveiled release are the best that I have ever heard

The OGs have other things, let's say better... but not in the media/voices...

Best regards

Sisco

The unveiled would literally be the last HP I would ever transport and use portably

Is CMA18P sound on the analytical side ?
How does it compare to your others devices ?
Thank you

Are there any measurements for noise leakage? A semi-closed headphone seems kind of pointless at first glance, lol.

20241021_181939.jpg

finally got round to giving these a listen. it was hooked up to a silver fox and a Denafrips dac, playing tidal off a fiio box. anyways tl:dr these are not really my cup of tea..

build quality is similar to susvara og which I felt was alright. the brown somehow doesn't look as bad in person. the gaps exposing the membranes at the top and bottom of the window are fairly big and I really worry about damaging them.

sound wise, I guess nothing that hasn't already been mentioned. nice mids, nice highs. vocals are indeed very good; sweet sounding, clear. up top, feels a tad bit bright for me. the low end is a bit of a disappointment.. wish there was more mid bass and down low bass to give it a bit more oomph and warmth; overall it's a bit thin sounding and I actually prefer the OG tuning much more.

The staging seems a bit narrower than OG iirc. definitely smaller staging than immanis. it's a bit weird I don't know how to describe it but I'll try; it sounds very open and airy with no walls but all the elements are coming from right next to me, rather than spaced farther out.

would have been nice to try it on my own home setup and maybe try a bit of eq with the Unveiled.
Does the OG just have louder bass? Or is there more texture and impact?

Not that much traction here, hu...
Just wanted to say that the Unveiled is incredible with music where vocals are inherently recorded further away. Dave + Envy with Elrog ER's and Brimars and a thick silver cable and this headphone sounds really, really amazing.

Are you guys who bought one are happy with your Unveiled now that some more time has passed?

Are others that have heard it / read my (or others) impressions either shying away from it / wanting to keep their OG Susvara (for either financial or sound reasons)
or are planning to maybe get an Unveiled in the future?

Agreed, i also don't look back and don't miss the old one at all. But we also both have fantastic other headphones like a 1266 or an Immanis.
