Honestly, this is a steal compared to their flagship electrostatic headphones system at less than 1/5th of the cost.

the word out there is that susvara sound better than 50 000 shangri la la at only 6000 dollars, is interesting to see if that is true, how is this Jr will sound in comparison with the bigger brother and susvara

If anyone is interested in timelines

Shangri-La Jr. is expected to be unveiled at the Hong Kong Advanced Audio Show on August 11, followed by TAA Taiwan's round mountain sound show on 17 August.

Actually, I was watching Fang at the show in London, and he has a serious iPhone addition, checking it every 15 seconds for hours. Maybe his phone bill is so enormous he HAS to sell more expensive gear?

You know, the HE-1 may have prised open a previously untapped market for insane money headphone systems. Things like value for money are secondary. I would love to hear if the Jr model equals the 009 and BHSE. IMO the Shangri-La Snr. didn't so why would the son manage it?

Where have u been? It's available now from B&H photo for only $50,000. Sadly u will need to call in to special order. 6-8 months wait time sadly.

I wonder what sounds better. The Suvrara / Hifiman Edition $6000 or this at $8000 :p
