Separate names with a comma.
3.5 is Single ended and 4.4 is balanced
in Penon audio says "3.5mm headphone balanced interface, 4.4mm headphone balanced interface, dual PCM1704U-K"
I can't confirm if the 3.5mm socket is balanced on the R2R2000, but it is possible to configure a 3.5mm connection to work balanced and unbalanced, look at the iFi Audio range to see how this is done.
It actually makes good sense to configure all sockets to balanced operation too, after all the extra components are already there, its simply a case of connecting the sockets in parallel,
Sony has seperate ground but not true balanced on the 3.5mm on the WM and ZX2 players but at the same time they can also do normal single ended
I love the size but I do care about the SQ..UI I can live without. Hope this isn't another hype.
I'm somewhat limited in touchscreen use. Also don't care about UI; prefer solid, or capacitive buttons such as Questyle's over a visual screen.
Does anyone know what the output impedance & release date of the R2R2000 are?
Its available now, after a quick search I couldn't find the output impedance mentioned anywhere, stick with an IEM or headphone in the 16 ohm+ impedance range if you can and you should have no issues.
All places outside china which is selling them is only preorder. The final specs are unknown, they are still finalising it.
My question: Does it sound good ?
I now have heard of three different individual I trust and they all described the sound that are in complete contrast to one another .
If it is at CanJam London in 2 weeks time i will tell you.
Stop trusting anyone but me.
That’s what I wanted to tell @Whitigir and @audionewbi
You said it sounded raw. That’s all we need to know right now
