HiFiMan ISVARNA Closed Back Hybrid

Audivina's biggest problem is that it sounds hollow. Yes, first it portrays an impressively spacious soundstage for a 'closed back', but they sound like the vocalist was singing from the bottom of a barrell.
Yeah not to me, unless they’ve done a silent update since you tried them? There’s no hollowness whatsoever from the time I’ve had them. 👍

Looks like they’ve put at least a little bit odd thought into this new release. Will definitely be keeping an eye on these.

I think it's great that they are trying something different, no matter if it sounds good or not, to be honest. Innovation is great, sometimes it turns out awful, other times amazing. Just glad someone is trying something new :)
Excited to see and hear these.

So do I. I very much share your opinion that as long as Dr. Fang is trying new things eventually they'll land on something magical. Most of their product line is class leading.

Looking forward to seeing what the real price will be a couple months after launch.

Is there a chance that HiFiMan ISVARNA will replace Audivina or HE-R10P and then they will be discontinued?
There is always a chance. I wouldn't be surprised if they discontinued the Audivina. The price drop from $1999 to $699 is big even for a notorious price-slasher like HFM. Makes me feel like they were trying to get rid of the stock.

This is usual Hifiman practice.
Wait a year and you’ll get the Isvarna for half price. Full price is for early adopters.

Not at all. They look completely different from both inside and outside + the Isvarna is a hybrid while the HE-R10P is planar.

I do like that they continue to use the same headband design. Easier to get replacements + they are comfortable.

I’m curious what those grills are at the bottom of Isvarna.
