And I couldn't tell a difference really with Digital Bypass Filter being On or Off.  I'm exactly sure what it's supposed to be doing.  Something with the Dock?

I've been trying to read all the pages, but...
Did anyone answer this question about Digital Bypass Filter being On or Off?
What is this filter for?
The Bypass filter it was an option on the 1.85 firmware. It allows use the option (avaliable from the chip) of use a digital filter that roll off the highs. Newest firmware doesn't have the option and sounds overall better.

I just got this LOD from here: http://www.shenzhenaudio.com/zy-hifi-cable-hifiman-hm-901-hm-802-line-out-dock-zy-070.html

So far I can say that is seems to be well built and the seller seems to be reliable. It was sent with tracking.

Have you tries
Anyone else's set switches off by itself once an album has finished playing? Small issue but irks me sometimes when I forget to change to another album before the last track of the current one has finished playing. Hate the startup time.

Have you tried the latest firmware yet. I think it fixed auto shut off problem. At least worked on mine.

V2.01 right? Yeah, I'm on that firmware. Same. Oh well.

The latest one is v2.002, probably not a final release version yet. Auto shut off is one of the bugs fixed in the update list. I'm on this version for a couple of weeks now, so far so good.

Gapless play feature is also added in.

Newest beta firmware v2.002 includes again the digital filter option. You can try it. Anyway is just an option and question of taste.

I tried the 901 without the Balanced amp card (line out through the 3rd party LOD that I posted about newly). Funny to hold the 901 after a couple of hours playing time and it's still not warm to touch! This little trick really must save a lot of battery (when using external amplifier).

looks interesting and a great idea.

Nice idea on the female RCA connectors indeed. The only thing I don't like is that the cables look pretty rigid, not really a good thing for the dock connector.

this somehow fixed the reboot when browsing by artist. but still unable to see some albums. Regarding gapless play, haven't notice any change though.

Please someone how do you get the battery out. what a pain.

There is a ledge / hook thingy on the upper side of the battery bay, use a small flat piece of object to push it slightly in and at the same time, lightly pry the battery out. If you prefer not to pry the battery, just hold the whole player screen-side-up (battery-side-down) and use you finger to push the ledge / hook inward and allow gravity to drop the battery out for you.
