Superb deal indeed, however, for someone like me who paid over $576 in the past will have a bitter taste in their mouse.
I paid $599.00 when I bought. Worth every penny.
If someone gets a better price, congrats!

Can I drive these headphones with FiiO K7?
Not a good idea.

Is JDS El amp II+ enough for this?

  • Output Impedance< 0.7 Ω
  • Channel Balance+/- 0.56 dB
  • Max Continuous Power, 600 Ω160mW (9.8VRMS)
  • Max Continuous Power, 150 Ω650 mW (9.8 VRMS)
  • Max Continuous Power, 32 Ω - Standard1.3 W (6.53 VRMS)
  • Max Continuous Power, 32 Ω - Boosted2.3W (8.68 VRMS)
If you're looking at an amp to buy for HE6SE V2 then no.

Probably the best bang for your buck is going to be finding a +100WPC home theatre receiver and driving them directly off the speaker taps. If you're lucky, you can find a good used one for under $100. You can stay under $200 easy.

Do you know of something inexpensive that can drive them? an all-in-one?
A used receiver or speaker amp. None of the inexpensive all in ones have enough power to bring out the best. Violectric is about the only brand I can think of and they're very expensive.

I don't want LP or A 90. What other options do I have?

Probably the best idea is what @dstarr3 said.

Also, if you guys can find a Lyr 2 that should work. Mine is boxed up for sale so I can't test it.

Lyr OG didn't have enough power
The Lyr 2 is much more amp than the OG. The way they keep the same names for totally different amps is schiit

I paid $699 for the v1 in 2018. The enjoyment over these past years is worth the delta in the price for me.

Which mouse? 🐸

Jot 2 or Lyr 2+ - can do it. Used Rag 1 for a few bucks more is very able.

Cheapest would be a 1990+ Reciever of 50 wpc+ that doubles power from 8 to 4 Ω.

My advice is never buy an amp with a DAC built in. Amps are pretty stable design wise over time. DACs are changing fairy rapidly.

The good thing about Planar headphone, especially HE6SE, is very easy to EQ with good result.

However, I have been comparing HE6SE with ZMF Atrium recently and I found Atrium is superior in scenarios such as live performance. Mostly due to the timber and staging/imaging. Atrium gives me way better sense of the reality.
