Wondering if anyone has experience with the HE6 V2 Adorama limited edition and Focal cables.

I'm curious about the fit as the 3.5mm cable termination looks like there is a notch on the cups that may not fit the Focal cable.

I'd like to run the V2's balanced but don't want to purchase a separate aftermarket cable.

Any info would be appreciated.

HE6SEv2 comes with balanced cable and an adaptor for SE.

Should be fine. I just sold my Elegia but used the same Arctic Cables balanced cable with both.

I just bought them as well. I’ll be running them off of the High Gain Balanced 4.4mm of the A&K KANN Alpha. That outputs 12 watts so it should be more than enough to run them properly but we’ll find out when I get them.

Well this is disappointing. I should've known this but thought the specs on paper would be okay. The A&K KANN Alpha can't really power them sufficiently. When I run them on High Gain I get enough volume, even enough for them to clip/distort but certainly not enough for them to sound the way that they should. I'll be returning them and looking elsewhere. To be honest I'm really happy with my setup right now and shouldn't even really be buying anything else.

To be fair, 83.5Db sensitivity screams desktop amp to me.

I can indeed run my DT880 (600 Ohm) and T60 Argons off my DAP, or in a pinch, even my phone, but they won't sound great.

Those headphones do look interesting and I see an open box on HiFiman's site...

The A&K KANN Alpha outputs 12watts in balanced high gain so I thought that would be more than enough.

I've never had any other headphones that haven't had enough power from the Alpha.

It does not output 12 watts. It outputs 12 vrms. That is less than 12 watts. You also need to know at what impedance that number is rated for. The he6v2 is 60 ohms.

I had no idea that 12 volts was equal to 12 watts. That is a Humongous amount of power for any DAP! But is that at 8 ohms or 16 ohms or what?
My iFi Pro iCAN puts out 14 watts at 16 Ohms (at 23 volts). By the time I get to 50 ohms that is likely more like 4 to 5 watts, which is still Tons of power. However at 83.5Db sensitivity, those H6SE's are still going to want lots of juice.

Pretty quick delivery on these as I got them today.

They are smaller than I thought they would be. EVERY company in the business should ship with XLR and 1/4", except for closed back portables.

Really like the look with a splash of blue. I am starting off with the Liquid Platinum and it is working hard! Past 3:00.

Final Monday notes. I really liked these on the LP. Nice sound. The LP puts out 4.21W at 56 Ohms. They certainly did not “feel” underpowered.

The V220, in high gain, puts out 2.7W at 50 Ohms. Try this out tomorrow afternoon.
