It comes down to personal preference - a new iteration isn't always an "upgrade" and could just be a side step in many cases.
For the sake of my inner peace, I don' t think I can buy near 3K fragile stuff... even when the sound is significantly better...

Interesting, I wasn't expecting this to have full ear cup swivel based on how the Susvara Unveiled was. Just some photos I took:

Not for the Trypophobic

Long thread to go through, but can anyone explain the logic behind trading acoustically transparent protective mesh for danger of exposed magnets and magnetic "covers" to protect phones when "not in use". What about protection during use?
Looks more like form over function design, just to look sleek and fancy.

I guess a lot more objects can go hurt the headphones while laying down somewhere compared to when you use them.

According to HiFiMan, this would disturb the movement pattern of the nanometer-thick diaphragm and lead to sound wave reflections and refraction. Therefore, the grille was removed and the Unveiled concept was introduced for a demonstrably more detailed and open sound with the 2024 Susvara, HE1000, Arya.

He is talking about mesh. Not grill.

You can have mesh without grill.

The Susvara Unveiled already changes the sound when you hold your flat hands 5-6 cm (2+ inches) near the open drivers - Head-Fi.org .

The mesh (or grille) could therefore have influences - and the sound wave reflections & refraction seem to be more than just marketing stuff.
