Did you guys know that OJ Simpson was originally cast to play Terminator but the studio was afraid no one would buy him as a remorseless killer? True fact.

Strangely enough, I did know that.
Did you know that Paul Shaffer turned down the role of George Costanza on Seinfeld - said he was too busy.  Meh, what's a couple hundred million in residuals....

Hype is quite the same everywhere nowadays. And I prolly dislike it same as much as you. But the msg I responded to was not about hype ... and since I cannot read your thoughts I can only comment about what you write.
Anyway, peace and good sound.

It gives everyone time to save their money. $1000 a month, and if they are ready by June, there you go....

Interesting.  I'm having trouble thinking of a manufacturer in the technical vertical that doesn't release product information months/years in advance of the actual consumer release.

The term "vaporware" is nothing new.  Used to laugh about it all the time at COMDEX in the 90s - so many promises about future products.

yep. it's widespread and has been going on for years.

I think fang went to the future and snagged one of his own creations and brought it back to our time, but cant figure out yet how it works and that is what is causing the delay :D.

I find it hard to believe that he was an actor....

No way I am spending more than $2000 on a pair of headphones.

well, I totally respect your thinking, but $2000 is the price of the Audeze's LCD, and people who own LCD seems to consider them worth the money they had to pay to get them.

There are buyers at any price point.

It's all relative. What's affordable to one is too expensive for another. And too cheap for someone else.

Not to mention taste, circumstance and preferences.

There is no way on earth the HE 1000 is going to be $2000, I wish.

And why not?  If we keep telling him they're worth more - He'll charge more.  If we keep to our guns and suggest the price be 2K or less - he just may go with the masses.  More buyers equals more profit.

Well, that is optimistic, and I admire that, but while I can't possibly know this of course, I'm quite sure the price point has been almost locked in for sometime now. With all of the innovation and the trend in flagship pricing you don't really think this was going to be $2000 do you? I will freely admit I can't possibly know the answer, and I hope I'm wrong, but I'm thinking this will be about $2499. Lets hope that like with many things I am wrong. Just watch the **** storm if it ends up selling at $2499, everybody will blame me saying I gave them the price! If only I was that important.
