HIFIMAN HE-R10 Planar & Dynamic - Quick Impressions
Oct 30, 2020 at 9:06 PM Post #61 of 106
Additional experience,
Very comfortable, the headphones are very light and fit me quite well.
Flexibility with Bluetooth. Can connect the headphones with balanced cable, or no wires.
Customizable. Wood cup is customizable, head-fiers can explore better or different sound with different cups.

Look and feel luxurious? Quite sure Hifiman are working on it. They have the technology and resource.
They should have spent more time crafting a truly-luxurious product, rather than, ostensibly, rushing this product to the market with a half-baked design.

I'm hoping that it'll sound positively stellar; however, that headband, the cups, and the pads look really cheap.

According to hifiman, its the same driver technology from their in ear re2000 and re800.
They call it Topology diaphragm.

I'm not sure how that translates to over ears but the RE2000 sound pretty good.
Staying tuned I guess

Deva drivers? In the HE-R10????

Probably.

Or maybe IE diaphragms in a R10 wood housing. How cool would that be?!?

I don’t care what it looks like (though it’s obviously using the old Sony design). All I care about is if it is a closed back Susvara or not. I’m really interested in some comparisons and reviews.

Unless its using some alien technology no one else knows about. It won't sound like an open-back headphone of a different design I can tell you that right now.

So, you can use these wirelessly with the Bluetooth adapter. I wonder what the sound quality is like?
