Mark got mine to me....and the metal replacement band arrived Saturday!
Later today, I'll be watching the video from the link he sent me, and swapping out the broke-yoke.
I'm glad.
I love the way these sound.

My headband broke also. I contacted Hifiman and they replaced it with the Sundara free of charge. Fits on the head better then original and its all metal.
Thanks for your impression of the Aeon and I can see that like you I don't really care for the tuning of most MrSpeaker headphones which includes the Ether, EtherC, Ether Flow, Alpha Prime and Alpha Dog, they just don't get my feet tapping and I've never just gotten lost in the music with any MrSpeaker headphones for some reason and it was like you, they just felt a bit lifeless, not bad in any way.I recently got to audition the aeon flow closed which before I got the he560 I was on the fence between the two. And I’m so glad I bought the he560. The aeon’s are very nice headphones, but they are pretty much the standard imo for a ‘flat or neutral headphone”. And while very resolving, they sounded completely lifeless compared to my he560. For someone who thrives on analytical listening the aeons would most likely be far superior. But they just missed that toe tapping energy I get from the 560. Zero bass punch, lifeless mids, and there was a peak around 10k that is the first time I actually had treble issues with a headphone(I was able to massively minimize this issue with a new tube selection in my amp to make them more enjoyable).
Well I'm glad to report that Mark is sending me the new metal headband. I'll soon be enjoying these headphones again
Want to share my expirience of buying in Adorama store from ebay
I bought he-560 for a good price and thought it is a good deal. But today, after unpacking i find out that is fully broken, Headband two sides! Just contacted them to return will see!
In the description wasnt written about this issue...

Just contact HifiMan with your invoice and they will send you new metal headband
This situation is terrible and your advice is not for me, since that I'm not the specialist of repairing, so, I will just return it at allJust contact HifiMan with your invoice and they will send you new metal headband

onraid, there’s a short movie on how to do this, seems quite easy.
However, Hifiman will begin production of HE-560 with metallic reinforced headband...will see when, but it will happen for sure.

Its not a repair but just replacement and its almost as easy as changing the toilet paper where you have to slightly compress the rod to get it off and on (not as simple but fairly easy without tools). Not trying to put you on the spot but a female friend of mine was able to replace her broken headband in under 1 minute so it can't be that hard since I know she can't figure out anything mechanical in nature but if you feel uncomfortable with doing the change then its okay, no one will hold it against you. I just think that the HE560 at the current prices are about as good a deal that you can get these days and replacing a headband that is free under warranty is a small price to pay for the quality of the sound that you get. This situation is terrible and your advice is not for me, since that I'm not the specialist of repairing, so, I will just return it at all

You know this for sure, or you are guessing? I thought they were discontinuing the 560.However, Hifiman will begin production of HE-560 with metallic reinforced headband...will see when, but it will happen for sure.
Yeah that would surprise me. I just listened to the Sundara, it is far better than the HE-560 I think.

The “guess” was coming from Mark via email, so I’m optimist on this one, but can’t be 100% it will happen. Meanwhile, I’m happy they’re replacing the headbands for free if under warranty.
I honestly hope they’ll not discontinue this product. After all, drivers are so very good...and don’t think these drivers are used in other headphones, so it would be a loss for both parties if discontinuing the HE-560.
