  The production version has been finalized, and is currently in the final stage of testing. It looks a lot different than the ones you have seen. Personally i really like the new look. It has a more contemporary and modern feel.
 
 

I volunteer my over-sized ears if you need any help in testing!

There is no possible way that they would be able to implement metal yokes instead of plastic without an additional six months to fabricate the process.

I actually think you are right about that one.. Or so it seems from the schiit blog where Jason talks about metal manufacturers.

Maybe they'll use the metal yoke from the older models?
Unlikely but perhaps possible...
Not that I care which as long as it is durable and doesn't take ages to get right
