I've got a response from Fang after writing him about the headband pressure, which could be a possible problem for many western bigheads. He kindly appreciates my suggestions for improvement. He is not sure if this will lead to further delays of the final release, but thinks they will have a perfect solution at least by the end of july.

Wait is this a joke? I can't tell.

It better be... Going from early April to early June is already a 2 month's delay, isn't it?
I appreciate all the improvements and all but... I think the pads should be the last issue addressed... especially since clamp is really something that can be adjusted at any given time by the user, and it's not something that can be standardized by the manufacturer for all sizes... headphone bending/stretching has been a thing for years and people never complained [well, save for Sennheiser clamp, but that's legendary].

If there's anything else that is severe enough and needs fixing...?

Oh thank god, I almost flipped a table LOL jk. I'm soon gonna be without any full-sized headphones so I need the HE-560 to not be delayed any longer, please HFM.

It's kinda funny, in retrospect lol. Not for the first 5 seconds though.

Not sure if this has been posted... new review...

Wow feels like the first review in years. Adding it to first post's list.

Edit:

Really? They think HE400 is single-ended too? "A single-sided magnet array for a set of orthodynamic headphones is nothing new. We saw the array on the HE-4 and HE-400 headphones" Must be a typo because they mention HE400 as dual-ended in the next page.

Comparing the LCD-X to the HE-560 will be a little hard, will have to judge each on their own merits.

All I can say is, the LCD-X is very alike to an HE-400: a recessed upper midrange with a little treble spike and strong bass/lower mids.  People who say the LCD-X is Audeze's take on a neutral headphone are fooling themselves.  The LCD-X is audeze's take on a u-shaped headphone.
