Comfort wise, I find the 560 more comfortable than the HEK v1.

The 560 really does classical and acoustic music superbly. Tons of small details and a soundstage that is amazing, for an HP.
Fast too -- a trait many overlook and don't seem to mention much in the threads.

I had these headphones for a while but due to several issues I had to return them back a couple times. To date these are my favorite headphones but I am quite frankly not a big fan of the company. Does anyone have suggestions on a headphone with a similar sound signature to these? Thanks in advance.

The Utopia is similar but by no means the same. To me the HEK v2 is the better sound but you my like Focal's offering.

Alternatively if you have the v1 the v2 ironed out a lot of The manufacturing issues.

Back in the fold!  Grabbed a brand new pair of HE-560 over from the Classifieds for a deal I could not pass on.  Was not planning on that, but you know how it is

I always regretted selling my previous pair.  But, this pair is even better.  My previous pair had ever so slight rattles in the left ear cup.  This pair is completely inert.  No strange noises or rattles.  Just solid.

I think these will now get 80 percent of my head time.  My Audeze LCD-X are still king, but they are so damn heavy!!!  My neck still aches a bit this morning after a long late night listening session.  And the sound of the HE-560 is so good in its own right, there is little missed in my opinion.

Oh, and I no longer have any trouble driving these, like before.  My previous head-amp could not control the HE-560 drivers, especially on bass heavy material.  Distorted mess.  But my new Icon Audio HP8 MKII tube amp does the trick fairly well.  I still feel like they MAY need a bit more juice to really shine, but I am satisfied well enough.

Lastly, any suggestions on a good aftermarket cable?

What's up TK. The first time I had issues , I used hot glue , but that didn't last long. The second time I bought super glue gel, and never had any issues after.
What type of glue do you guys use to repair the ripped focus pads? Getting tired of ordering new pads and at $39 a pop for 2 cans is getting tiresome.

Thanks bro, I started keeping the ripped pads so I got 4 of em to fix, for $39 a pair they are way too prone to ripping imo. Some with very little use on em.

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the 560's...for a second time.

I'm using a balanced Charleston Cable Company cable with my 560's.  Great cable for a fair price.
