I want to spend around $200. Here is what I'm looking for:

*improved sound signature overall

*something versatile..I tend to change headphones often

*to go with tube or no tube

Currently I have Denon 2dk and Beyer dt990/600. I can see myself trying one of the Seinn hd6xx in the near future. I just don't have much experience with desktop amp/dac's and could use some guidance.

thanks...

I love my little dot mkii.  You might want to just pick up an O2 from jds.  I personally think it's hard to go wrong with the little dot.  From my short experience with the O2 is that it might sound colder and a bit less dynamic than the LD, but more analytical.  I personally preferred my ldii to my schiit asgard.

Matt you should seek out a Millet Max build from somebody, it might be the most amount of tube hybrid amp for the money and they're usually built with the highest grade components possible since thats usually what is readily available to buy.

I could always loan you mine once the Lyr comes in buddy.

Hey thanks Chris. Don't know much about the Millet Max but will look into it. Let me know when you get the Lyr...

Just a warning, keep in mind output impedance, or you will have a D2k+  STX all over again
