I am looking for a cheaper replacement cable for Devas.

Would any cable with 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male work?

Can recommend this one if you're looking for both ends balanced - https://m.tb.cn/h.VAXFrDu?sm=bf740f

You could probably find the equivalent on Aliexpress. Both ends are balanced, and I picked one up myself. Got it yesterday and works perfectly fine with my AK SR25

Someone is using the regular 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male cable (see pic) in the wired version of Deva and says it works without any issue.

Is it compatible? I would like to know your opinion.

I picked up a 3.5 balanced to 4.4 balanced (8 core 50/50 copper/silver braid) locally.

Never tried a basic using a basic 3.5 TRS end to end cable.

Really good, mostly as have higher output (current/power) on the 4.4 balanced port's. Like all has a little better separation certainly no complaints for the price point. Also worth noting that the Sony WM1A is a more musical DAP with a plethora of DSP options. Mine is also running custom firmware allowing one to switch between WM1A's more analytical sound & WM1Z's richer, warmer sound with wider staging which offers a tremendous presence with Deva, literally putting the listener into the music.

I really like the DEVA but yes, it is a little bass lite, compared to my Fidelio X2 (2014 version) and Thinksound ON2. I don't think planar is going to give me the bass slam of the X2, but does any one have any EQ suggestions? Still experimenting to add a little bump. Thanks.

I believe the deva and aoinic 50 have better sound quality to most people compared to pxc550.

but what about deva vs aoinic 50?

@TeamHiFiMAN

I just got my Deva and its working great in BT mode, but i got a problem using it with the Bluemini module wired with USB-C to my PC. Seems theres some loose contact with the USB-C of the Bluemini, and i cant even move my head without the connection skipping and sometimes losing connection at all.

Since i bought the Deva especially for that purpose (got no DAC/Amp) thats a real bummer. What should i do?

Sincerely,
