I did ear simulation to Deva too. That's nice frequency response. It was modded with masking tape. I recommend it to everyone.

There is only 50x50mm masking tape font of the earpads. China velour 110mm and original pad.

Sharp highs are more settle and subbass slightly lowered but with the China pads u actually gain it

Deva pad outer dimensions 110x105mm and inner 65x60mm. I don't know other Hifiman pad dimensions. China velour is 110x110mm and inner outside 65x65 (in the middle 60x60mm). Also Deva's pads are slightly angled.

Edit. Quick comparison to old Sennheiser HD555. It costed to me something like 100€ 15 years a go. Its slightly modded but overal signature is quite same as original. Of course Deva has some other problems that you don't see in the frequency response. It's a bit dirty on the treble and midrange but otherwise nice headphone and you get bluemini And if the think about more harman curve then the original pads are a bit better at upper frequencies to archieve that but on the bass side it's slightly worse. Also I like a bit relaxed treble, someone may like crispier sound and be more happy with original earpads.

I am relatively new to over ear headphones and recently got the Deva to replace my 7 year old Audio Technica ATH-AD700 headphones. I also purchased the Schiit Magni Heresy and Modi 3 to drive the Deva.

The Deva were an immediately noticeable upgrade over my Audio Technicas, the better lows and instrument separation stood out to me instantly. However, after a week of listening I have had constant problems with what I believe people call "listening fatigue". My inner ears feel uncomfortable or even a bit painful after listening, which has never happened to me on my Audio Technica headphones or IEMs. I have the knob on my amp turned to between 8-9 o'clock on low gain, so I do not think high volume is the problem. This problem was especially evident listening to Lucky by Radiohead, the high pitched guitar distortion was grating and difficult to listen to, again not a problem for me previously.

Being new to DACs/AMPs/Headphones, is there something I am doing wrong here? Or could these headphones just not be for me? I see others doing minor mods to get the sound they want out of the Deva, but I'm not sure I want to mod headphones that I cannot comfortably use stock.

After some research I will have to choose between the Deva and Audeze Mobius.
I'm interested only in the bt performance for wired I have some other cans.
Does anyone have or heard both?
