Introducing The HIFIMAN HE1000 Unveiled!
New Top-of-the-HE1000 Series Features Removable “Magnetic Veil” Back Panel and Stealth Magnet Technology, Among Multiple Attributes

The new HE1000 Unveiled, which will make its debut at CanJam SoCal 2024, is the latest addition to HIFIMAN’s lauded HE1000 high-end series of planar magnetic headphones. As the top of the HE1000 line-up, the new HE1000 Unveiled features several of the company’s most recent developments, including Stealth Magnet technology that is notable for an asymmetrical, double-sided magnetic circuit that gradually adjusts the magnet’s gap and cross-sectional shape, both inside and outside of the diaphragm.

Stealth Magnet technology achieves maximum sound transmittance and diaphragm control force at a refined balance point, reducing distortion to a bare minimum for sound that is naturally warmer, with demonstrably improved imaging and transparency.

HIFIMAN’s Magnetic Veil

HIFIMAN’s top-tier models are specially designed to maximize the exposure rate of the grills because the nanometer-thick diaphragm is so lightweight that reflections from the grill disturb the movement pattern of the diaphragm.

As one of HIFIMAN’s new Unveiled models, the HE1000 Unveiled incorporates a removable back panel, called Magnetic Veil, that is a result of HIFIMAN using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology, a process of relying on computer software to control the movement and operation of machines that cut, carve, and engrave materials. Magnetic Veils fit over the ear cups, helping to avoid damage caused by the absorption of magnetic objects when the headphone is not in use.

“Following up the recent success of the Susvara Unveiled, we are proud to bring the Magnetic Veil design to one of our most popular high-fidelity headphone series to date,” says Dr. Fang Bian, Founder and CEO, HIFIMAN Electronics. “It’s a point of differentiation that sets the HE1000 Unveiled apart from every other headphone in its price class.”

As Dr. Bian explains: “The most effective way to avoid sound wave reflections and refractions from the grill is to eliminate the entirety of the grill design, leading to complete openness of the diaphragm. The result is sound that is demonstrably more detailed and open, which is why we refer to this approach as ‘unveiled’ technology.”

Personally, I am not a fan of the way they look.... However, I am looking forward to trying these bad boys out!

Neat, but I can leave my Arya Organic out without worrying about if the cover is on and if dust is ruining them...

I think the HiFiMAN RMA department is going to be real busy if they release more ‘unveiled’ headphones. I predict these new designs are going to be limited because of this reason.

For the ones who are interested and takes good care(dust) should get them while they can.

Just an assumption.

It’s weird to me because it’s very open but only where it’s open at if you get what I’m trying to say, the usual hifiman design isn’t as open as the unveiled section of the newer model but the perimeter of the cups on the newer model seem more closed off than the he1000se. I can’t wait to hear this thing.

Look amazing! I wonder how they’ll hold up over time being so exposed
I was at CanJam SoCal and I spoke with Dr. Bian about the vulnerability of the Unveiled. He said they have been running some prototypes for several years testing for dust, vulnerability for accidental damage, etc. They were very pleased with the durability and felt the concept was viable. He said they have sold a lot of the Susvara unveiled and have only had a few come back, and one appeared to have been drilled into.
He also said he loves the clear sweet sound that comes from unveiling. My hunch is, we will see more unveiling. Arya unveiled?
I listened to the HE1000 unveiled and I fell in love; this is a clear but warm-ish headphone, super comfortable and light-ish. I predict this will become a huge seller. The Susvara Unveiled sound at a a much affordable price. Should be pretty easy to drive as well.

Hi 🙂...
Wondering the same thing,.someone must have listened to HE1000 Unveiled...

AND,.can say how it performs vs HE 1000SE..??
I listen to it and talk to Dr. Bian about it. He said they didn’t realize that there was any coloration to the sound in the HE1000 and Susvara series until they developed the unveiled series. He didn’t say coloration was a bad thing, but he loves accuracy and he always strives to get closer.
