HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

When did you hear SE? Old version was really peaky, later revision is a lot better.
I've tested both SE and Organics recently, SE was a lot better (on Naim Uniti Atom).
A few days ago, actually. But it was a demo unit, maybe it has been there for a while? It was in very good shape, that much I can assure you.
In what timeframe do you suggest the SE has been changed? Very curious about that - and thank you for the context! :)

Arya Organic playes fantastic with the Serenade. Was a Huge Jump from the Sundara/DX3 Pro Plus.

Congrats on your new setup!

I see you skipped over a few levels of gear, but I can't blame you. I upgraded from an Asgard 3 & SMSL SU-9 paired with the Sundara to a Soloist 3xp & Bifrost 2/64 paired with an Arya Stealth a while back. Currently powering the Arya with a Mjolnir 3 paired with the Bifrost 2/64. There is also a Yggdrasil MIB in my future (early next year), which should improve the presentation of the Arya Stealth even further.

Happy Listening!

Ok, that was the newer one then. The first ones were released 6 years ago.
As for the revision discussion, you can check the last few pages of this thread: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/hif...namic-headphone.748334/page-995#post-18310133 .

Nice Setup for your Arya. Does this Setup change the Soundprofile of the Arya Stealth?
The Serenade is smoothing the Highs a bit 👍🏼
Thanks, the Mjolnir 3 gives the Arya Stealth more bass presence/extension, detail retrieval, and a slight deepening and widening of the soundstage. The Bifrost's house filter keeps the treble from being to sharp, but if I switch it to NOS mode it is definitely there. That being said I have not had much issues with high frequencies with the Arya Stealth. Granted that Schiit Multi-bit, and R2R DACs seem to help in this respect (some R2R DACs might lean the other way through).

The Arya Stealth has scaled with the gear I have given it, and I assume that I will hear a difference with the Yggdrasil MIB as well. I have discussed the pairing with other Mjolnir 3/Yggdrasil owners and they made a good case for the upgrade. There have been surprises though, like how the Arya Stealth sound on the Vali 3 😉.

I own an LCD5, ZMF Atrium and HE1kse and the Organic while not necessarily better than the first three holds it's own anywhere from 50% to 2 times as costly.
I have found them somewhat addictive and they pair like a dream with my Headamp GSXkm2. The standout feature of the Organic is it's flexibility while maybe not the winner in this group in my big rig, is it absolutely wins as the best headphone I have when ranked in portable/transportable rigs I've had.

These are special cans and for someone what wants a great set of headphones at a more than fair price. One that will pair well with almost all amps (maybe not OTLs, but haven't tried it yet) and just let you enjoy the music, it's a no brainer

Got these in for review. Definitely a bit brighter than the Stealth. They are nice with more "live" recordings, such as good jazz, and a bit too bright for modern, complex rock. Not surprisingly, they are nicer with tubes and/or R2R DACs.

Have to admit those are some nice looking headphones.

I'm really happy with the Arya Stealth, but they are on the edge of what I can tolerate in terms of treble. A bit too bright at times. The Organic being even brighter is a turn off for me personally.

With my system, power cables and usb card, etc. I hear extended treble that just is very revealing...treble does not seem to be emphasized to me so much as they are very resolving...I guess I would describe the arya stealth as "brightish":), but I also love its fast, clean bass... :)

They synergise really well with the DMP-Z1.

Hekv2 if you can find one. That is the most relaxed one after the v1, just more durable, better built and overall also a bit more refined than the Aryas.
So yeah really struggling to find a pair of v2
Is the original v1 a good option again? I assume v3 and the SE are also not suitable for what I am looking for .

Would the original Arya stealth be a possible candidate , or is the HEK just a big step up from that

There's one in Germany.
