I have my Vali 3 paired with a Bifrost 2/64, and it works well with the Arya Stealth. With the stock tube you get a little more airyness with a slightly wider (but a little deeper) soundstage (at least in my experience). Top end is not over accentuated vs a SS amp, but it is still detailed. Mids are slightly more flushed out, and male vocals benefit from this as does acoustic guitar. The Vali 3 has enough power to give you a decently extended low end (keep in mind I am comparing this to my Mjolnir 3). Your experience will vary depending on the tubes you choose to use. I would suggest reading up on tube recommendations in the Vali 3 thread. There is a lot of detailed information regarding tube pairings there.
Thanks for the replies! I have the stock tube as well as a GE 5670 5 star and an RCA 5670 black plate tube to roll with when I end up getting the Arya. So far I’ve had a lot of fun with both tubes using my Meze 99 Classics (they’ve made them sound amazing with the added headroom and resolution) so I can’t wait to try them on an open back pair of cans like the Arya Organic! I got to test my stack on a pair of Sennheiser 558s and the soundstage was quite nice but I’m sure the Arya experience will be superior.I do like these with the Russian tubes, including the stock one. My partner unit is the Schiit BF2.
Mindbreak's comment is the exact same as mine with the V2's.
