Works perfect for me also. For now the biggest problem for me is missing bookmarks system. No way to memorize audiobook or podcast position.

Other than the bookmarking issues which quite honestly don't matter to me there are no outstanding issues with this tiny treasure. I really like the cue sheet implementation they've done. I've played with using it as a USB DAC with my laptop and as a transport for another DAC + amp. I've used it to connect with my Bluetooth speaker on occasions. Those functions worked well too. I like how it sounds. Or perhaps I should say that I like that it doesn't alter the music is outputs. I really like it best of all the inexpensive players I own.

It could use more power to drive things like the 300 ohm Sennheiser HD 6XX and the like. But honestly, its a $100 player and expecting that sort of power seems to be unfair. Similarly it lacks a balanced output but again its not an expensive player.

I ordered the Pro version from Massdrop. I was curious about the Sabre chip in this one, since my last few Shanling DAPs had an AK variant (M1 and M3s). Excited to hear it.

Yep, ordered the AP60 Pro, my first step into the world of dedicated DAPs. Curious to see how it performs.

There seems to be a lot happening, a new AP80, the Shanling M0, the Hiby R3. Too easy to go down the rabbit hole... But the AP60 Pro seemed like a nobrainer for the price and the specs.

Hidizs are definitely no communication pros (contrary to Shanling for example), so we're still going by the original Massdrop date, May 7... Let's hope they're putting all their effort into the products

But your are correct that Hidizs does not seem to communicate much. Could be a language issue, or they don't have a PR Specialist on their staff?

Their English is fine. I could show you a couple of emails between them and myself. They're just terrible at sticking to their word. A lack of integrity, really.
