hidden sugden headmaster feature...

i'm not sure wether this belongs in the amp or the source section, but the sugden remote also controls naim CDP's... the only thing that's lacking is "display" key support, which toggles between track number and time display...
(and yes, i know i should probably be using the naim headline...)

I have noticed that alot of British equipment can use the same remote. My friend can use his ATC remote for his preamp on his Linn Genki. Wouldn't it be nice if US products had a standard? We all know about Sony plugs.......

through some old posts and found this one to be of interest.

The reason why the remote from the Sugden Headmaster controls Naim CDPs is that they both use the very common philips chipset and remote code.

I know from experience that Rotel, Audiolab, Marantz, Philips (obviously) and even really high-end Krell equipment use the same codes. My Rotel remote came in really useful when my Krell was working.
