That's 2 1TB cards ready, one with all my hires tracks and another one with all my red book tracks, all in all about 60.000 tracks and 1,8TB. Now the waiting begins and since I'm away on Holliday from 23rd August until 25th September it'll be a long wait

That's a great idea. I should be prepping my SD cards. Thanks for the reminder...

I would like to know how the limitation of 50,000 songs, that has been talked about here works. Will the search be limited by track? Will songs stop showing up at that point? It seems that it will be possible to browse directories, but it is not the same. In any case, with that limit, having two slots for two 2GB SD cards seems to me to be a marketing announcement, but it is not realistic.

If someone who already has it can confirm how the search function is like, and if it can hit that limit, that would be great.

I don’t know but my guess would be that search works on the library so will only be able to find within the 50.000 tracks that the library knows about

folder browsing available? I hope so..
Hiby has confirmed that folder browsing can access unlimited number of tracks but the tag based library can only handle 50.000 tracks

Just get a RS2 from a local shop, very handy little player, solid built. Comes with a leather case which is fitted tightly.

First Impression, kinda of Sony's tuning, warm, organic and musical, yet not that booming. Female vocals is quite addictive liked the older generation of AK DAP with very beautiful instrumental performance. The background is clean and dark, half of the volume (4.4 Low Gain) can drive my planar HOOK X well. The light at the side turns orange when playing lossless, and turns blue when playing hi-res.

I am so impressed on how good the RS2 sounds with its size. Its SQ is way better than the R5II ( I tried before ) to me. It's simply more refined than the DX170 I try the same time.

If bluetooth, wifi, streaming is not what you are concerned for a new DAP, then RS2 is good to go !

May I know the difference of NOS and OS modes if you have tested? I assumed you are using NOS mode.

I am not sure either
Anyway, I put NOS on, seems a little bit more dynamics to me
Probably needs a golden ears to figure out the difference.
Ok, likely most NOS dac sounds analog.Does OS mode still sound like a SONY dap?
