I can only say how it compares to the Fiio M11 Pro and the R6 Pro is superior in audio quality to my ears. The Fiio M11 Pro amp is weak compared to the R6 Pro and I think that makes the difference.

Well, I hope it's more than just an upgrade "in price" haha. I love the R6pro and love the form factor relative to it's awesome resolution.

I am intrigued by the R8 but doesn't it stand to reason that the cell phone signal would make the device more noisy? I mean already r6pro has an. EMI issue. I hope all that gets resolved.
