HIBY R6 - DAP Dual DAC Balanced Out - Great Reviews and Over 500% Funded @ Indiegogo!

Hi @joe, I am currently facing an issue with my R6. It dies not charge wgen powered off. All permissions etc have been granted, resets done but no dice.

It will show the battery icon animation indicating charging but the percentage does not change. Even stranger when powered on after unplugging, the battery percentage actually shows a drop, e.g 30% when plugged in, the animation shows charging but the 30% remains but when unplugged the percentage show drops to 17%.

This only happened say about a week ago although I updated to the new 1.2Beta firmware earlier.

I read that this behaviour is not uncommon. Does Hiby have any solutions? Or has the solution been posted earlier. If so please share again.

Thanks.

Ps it will charge if powered on. So far it charges even when screen is off unlike some others that say that theirs only charges when screen remains on.

i remember my r6 behaved that way, and then i found out that the battery already damage, theres already a hump in the middle of my r6 battery, opened it and removed the glass back cover since its already cracked some months ago.

i think we have the same issue, friend.

looking for a solution as well without sending it back to HK. peace!

they wont, and it seems they dont want to reveal it to the public. main reason, just my opinion, is because of the r6 pro's internal and parts is also the same as ours, r6, and that would affect the business, i guess.

Hey,

Erm, you tagged the wrong guy (Joe sans Bloggs is a head-fi admin and not me)

Have you tried contacting service@hiby.com regarding your issue?

To everybody else, sorry for having been missing for awhile. It seems there's simply no way of having head-fi consistently inform me of new posts, either by email or onsite. I must simply check on every of our threads manually?

Not sure how I did it but I get many many emails from headfi about notification, so it seems there is a way. Maybe pm the other Joe and ask him? :p

Does anyone use a case like the Pelican 1020, 1040 or something similar to store their HiBy R6? I'm wondering if the HiBy R6 fits the 1020.

Do they quote interior dimensions?

Do they quote interior dimensions?
They do but apparently they didn't take the foam part into account when they measured them.

However the apparent dimensions are:
  1. 1010: 101.6mm x 63.5 x 41.27mm
  2. 1020: 127mm x 82.55mm x ?? (could not find actual measurement)
  3. 1040: 158mm x 88.9mm x 40.64mm
And I would like to store a pair of IEMs with my R6.

Why there are so many noise when I use other music player app other than default one? Poweramp with Hires, Black Player..
Only UAPP seem work well..

Also after I update the next and previous button only work for hiby default music app.
