Great shout damintoel but unfortunately that’s not fixed it.

In terms of the skipping, I’ve tried 3 different memory cards that have all been scanned ok but hiby player doesn’t like them. The cards themselves are fine and have worked previously on this device as well as my dx300.

I tried the FiiO player app and strangely that doesn’t skip.

The real issue here though is that I can’t get any audio from all 4 outputs. Tried 2 sets of buds on 3.5 and 4.4 jacks and it’s silent.

The only way to get audio is via a usb c/3.5mm dongle or via Bluetooth.

Im veering towards a hardware issue :frowning2:

Well, FWIW, my output issue turned out to be hardware too. Have you contacted HiBy? As per my earlier posts, they’re going to do an RMA repair on mine under warranty even though I bought it second hand. They seem amenable to making their customers happy.

If the Android Recovery reset didn't help, I believe it's time to contact HiBy and/or the dealer you purchased it from, unfortunately. It has happened to me in the past and the Android Recovery reset fixed it, but it happened again and became unfixable. I ended up having to send it to HiBy for repair (and I've got it back now and it's working normally again).

Thanks gents.
I figured that may be the case.

Surf Monkey - how did you contact hiby?

I reached out via their email: hello@hiby.com. They got back to me in a matter of a couple hours.

Have you had yours back yet? Just wondering on typical timescales.

Mine is 5 months out of warranty so they want to charge (although the costs mentioned actually seem quite cheap) it’s still frustrating for such a failure to happen so soon.

I connected my IEMs to the Hiby using the Dunu cable with the USBC connection and it plays audio just fine but at very high volumes and is not responsive to me turning the volume down or up for that matter. I can even adjust the gain and there is no effect on volume. Has anyone had any experience with this. Thanks again in advance

Spotify and Tidal
I haven't used either of those but for awhile I had a weird bug with Poweramp where using the experimental hi-res output setting it would max out the headphone volume once the headphone jack was connected and I was unable to reduce the volume. Reinstalling fixed it but I still don't know what it was.

It’s running Android 12. Tempting. That dock looks pretty cool too.

I seems to be almost exactly the same as the R6 2020 except for a mild processor bump and Android 12 (class A amp maybe?). @Joe Bloggs - any chance the R6 2020 gets an android upgrade? The devices seem very, very similar. The price does seem to be less, which is obviously good.
