HiBy R5 Sabre opinions

Hey all,

Just ordered the HiBy R5 Sabre. It must a new release that slipped under my radar because there are nearly no reviews of it. Any thoughts on it?

I’ve got the Walkman ZX507 which I love for my IEMs, but there is not nearly enough power for full-sized headphones. The R5s touts a little over a full watt at 16ohms which is impressive - should be able to drive everything I own. Like I said, I ordered it already but if there are any grave issues that I need to know about then I can just cancel.

I don't own the Saber version, but I've had other devices with the same chip set. The R5 is a great dap for the price. The Saber edition is going to have a somewhat more analytical sound, and be more revealing of source material. The standard version is a smoother ride, not as edgy. There probably aren't many reviews because it's essentially the same dap with a slightly different sound. I haven't experienced any issues with mine. It's been pretty solid.
