My equipment
- Sennheiser HD 25-ii
-KZ AS10
-Beyerdynamic DT770
also bought my gf the tin audio T3 which i also expect to test with the hiby. Very excited! Will take as many pics as i can once it's in

Well guess what arrived in my mail? :L3000::L3000::L3000:

Will try to give my comments throughout the following week, but i want to try them out a bit and tweak them. Also, this may sound silly but i didn't buy a MicroSD with them, so i have to buy one first before i try them out. However, my initial impressions on the build and looks
- I love the feel of them. Not too heavy, not too light, feels like proper luxury equipment. The build quality seems to be too notch, don't think it'll suddenly fall apart any time soon!
-The size is perfect. For my personal use, it fits right into my fanny packs front pocket, and since I'm a bit spars on space, it fits nicely with my other stuff
-the glass back feels smooth and nice, altho it's been a few minutes and it already has a bunch of my fingertips stamped all over it.
-the USB cable that comes with it feels premium, a sturdy cable worthy of it's device.
-The screen protectors, however, were badly transported and came all rugged didn't work as intended, might order more with a balanced output cable or adapter (I didn't get that either)
-While i toyed with the UI and system a little bit, i gotta admit it's snappy. Maybe because i haven't loaded the microSD yet but it works PERFECTLY. Adjusted time settings to my timezone, connecting to WiFi was quite easy
-the keyboard is just like a cellphone of yore, such a quirky thing to put on it. Personally, i think it's fun to use and it makes me a bit nostalgic, altho i have to see how it fares in my daily use

All in all, outstanding device. The UI is just to my liking, the build is great and it just looks gold

Well, finally got my hands on the MicroSD Card. I'm not sure if someone had this question, but it's a SDXC which it easily supports, just if someone had doubts about it. Trying out how it sounds and there's only one thing i can say

wow
I think i was listening to music wrong this whole time

Give me a few days and i will try flesh out my thoughts as much as i can, but there's one very important thing to notice. While they definitely sound great with my KZ AS10, it's with my DT770 250 ohms edition where they really shine. Maybe it's because I've had them for a very long time and that i know the in-n-outs of it's sound that i can truly tell the difference. I run the R3 into my Fiio A5 and then into my DT770. The whole set up sounds like butter. smooth. But detailed, which is what i enjoy the most.

Yeah, this is quite similar to my brief experience when I tested R3Pro's unbalanced 3.5" port via a Topping NX3s amp. The additional amping elevated the soundscape, not just volume level, quite noticeably over unamped playback. It's a surprising little DAP, this!

Which begs the question, how do they fare with the balanced port? I would love to know but i just can't seem to find a 3.5 mm to 2.5 mm trrs converter with good reviews, at least on amazon. The official website offers a 4.4 mm to 2.5mm or 3.5 to 4.4mm but no 3.5mm to 2.5mm. I'd love to know where can i find one, so i can test the other port (which seems to be more powerful so i'm interested in seeing if i'd really need my fiio amp)

Don't know - as I don't have any balanced inputs in my amps. Though I suspect it will be less significant, as the 2.5" port already has reasonable power delivery.
Also, my days of being THAT nerd with bloated pockets of audio equipment are mostly behind me :)

Hi all.
I have just received a Hiby R3 PRO and I have tested it with my recently purchased Sandisk Extreme Pro 1 Tb micro SD card, and I can confirm that it works properly with no issues.
Besides, it has detected 15.078 tracks. I thought this player had a limited number of 15.000 detected tracks.

The detect limit it 20,000 tracks, but if you go to the files tab, you can access everything thats on the SD card, even over the 20,000 tracks

I didn't realize it until I had purchased it. My family is all spotify and I could not convert them to tidal. You can use your android device and run it thru the pro but I am seriously considering the R5 as it is full android and can do spotify, but I love the form factor of my pro and mojo

So 1.4 firmware just got released, but when I tried to download and install in on my R3 Pro Saber, it downloads OTA, tries to install, restarts, and its still on 1.3. I might try the SD card firmware install, see if that helps
I'm also having the same issue. Tried as well the SD card firmware install both formatted in Fat32 and ntfs but still no luck.
