I bought my M300 a few 3 or 4 days ago so far it been working great without any issues, I sure did really missed having the google play store.

Also I notice that it was at 1.50_20240821-1638 firmware version out the box when I checked, I was curious about what was fixed and added in that release since there's no info about it any where.

That's weird. I'm on the latest firmware as far as I'm aware, 1.40_20240521-1829 :xf_confused:

Same with me, the newest firmware I'm seeing is 1.40_20240521-1829, and I'm not even seeing a new Beta firmware.

@Joe Bloggs, can you please provide a changelog of 1.50_20240821-1638 and advise when this update will be pushed through to all M300 devices?

Thanks.

Hello everyone, thank you for all your messages.
I found this thread while looking for solutions to a problem with my M300. It was very helpful, but it seems like no one has had my same problem. Last night, suddenly the device was not charging anymore. I tried multiple cables and chargers and nothing. Then I plugged it into my laptop and it does seem to charge and even lets me access of the files inside. But charging with a laptop is very slow and uncomfortable. I don't know quite what to do. Has anyone had similar problems with this or any other device? It hadn't given me any problems until today. I have been taking great care of it: I bought a case and a protective film, and everything was perfect... I loved its sound and its size. (I did have the same problems as another user with Tidal offline, but... I was trying to be patient).
I wrote to the Hiby official store in Alibaba from where I bought the device and, honestly, they are really unfriendly, writing fragmented sentences, sometimes through bots. Now they are telling me to send the device for repair, but they want me to pay the shipping costs... I received the DAP in June of this year, I was able to use it for only three and a half months, it is under warranty. They want me to pay for shipping from Mexico to China, because, they say, quote: "Any problems will occur randomly when we buy electronics, no matter what brands”... Of course, but It seems really unfair and not serious to me, that they are charging me with the responsibility of the production problems that occurred to them....
Also, I am about to move to another country for 3 months for work and it was very important for me to have the M300 to listen to music. Any advice you can give me? I would really appreciate it, really. I saw that there are people like @Joe Bloggs here that s very kind and helpful. I wrote to the customer service of the official site also, but they said to me that I have to contact Alibaba...
Thank you all for your help.

This is what they are writing to me:

-Customer service: Any problems will occur randomly when we buy electronics, no matter what brands.

-Me: Of course, but for this reason it exists a warranty, right? As Hiby, are you going to charge your consumer for problems occurring as fabric production?

-CS: The repaired cost is expensive than the shipping cost. The buyer only needs to pay the shipping cost from Mexico to China.

From their directions (to contact Alibaba) I have to wonder whether you bought from our official Aliexpress store or not?

Regardless, the official store would also require you to ship a faulty unit to them for repair. In such a case it is not them charging you shipping (indeed they would be significantly out of pocket fixing your unit under warranty and shipping it back to you at their cost), it is your local post office or courier service.

There are exceptions to this rule, such as if the fault occurred within 10 days of receipt of the item. Or, if you purchase through an authorized local / international reseller, in which case you still need to deliver the faulty unit to them at your own cost, I believe, whether they are in Mexico or the US, but that cost may be lower than shipping to China. There are other platforms with their own rules, such as our official store on Amazon, but I'm just explaining the rules applying to store.hiby.com or HiBy Aliexpress here.

Ok, well, maybe it's 'I think therefore it is' both of my TWS sound better !!!

aptX Adaptive + B&W Pi8 and LDAC + AVIOT ZX~1 = excellent! Both support apps working well and connections are very stable.

IF: The 13 minutes > to hear that first note > offline on Tidal> is any improved...it will exceed my expectations. I'll check later too busy listening to music :smile_phones:.

UPDATE: a few more songs in memory, another minute to start playing Tidal > Offline > 14 minutes till song starts.

I asked for a changelog. They said "minor bug fixes". I said I'd give them some time to give me a real changelog. Hmm

Hey guys,
My 2021-bought Shanling M6 (not Ultra) is slowly dying, and I want my next DAP to be a lighter and smaller, so I can use it anytime, anywhere.
But I don't want to sacrifice audio quality if at all possible.
I exclusively listen to flac/mp3 files from an SD card on my DAP, and only need the 3.5 to drive my Kiwi Ears Quintet and Beyerdynamic DT 880.

So considering size and sound quality are the main priorities, fo you think the M300 would be the right choice, or should IU looks elsewhere for a compact DAP?
