I don't know what uplifting trance is, but it sounds interesting. Do any of you have a emusic subscription? If so, could you give me a specific recommendation for an album available on emusic in this genre?

Anyone know what headphones Armin van Buuren is sporting on his website arminvanbuuren.com? Are they AKG K701s? They kind of look like AKGs... I thought these were not bass heavy phones, especially for a trance DJ.

Nice to know lot of u into Trance...

some recommendations for starters:
ATB,
Armin Van Buuren
Paul Van Dyk
Tiesto (very popular..too commercial nowadays)

Very good recommendations. I've been really enjoying Armin Van Buuren - Imagine and Imagine the Remixes CD's lately. Tons of great tracks on there.

Some CDs I have in rotation:

Tiesto - Elements of Life / Elements of Life Remixed
Tiesto - In Search of Sunrise 7 Asia
Tiesto - In My Memory
Paul Van Dyk - Politics of Dancing 2
Paul Van Dyk - Out There and Back
Armin Van Buuren - A State of Trance 2008
BT - Movement In Still Life
DJ Shah - Songbook

Enjoy!

I don't know what they are but they are definitely not AKG K701's.

Edit: There seems to be more than one picture on his website. One of the pairs that he is wearing looks a lot of AKG K701's.
