Hello, I bought a pair of V-Moda Crossfade LP's from Amazon almost a year ago and I was okay that they leaked because I don't use them in public, but the thing that does bother me is that 1000's of reviews say how bass heavy they are, how they are comparable to beats, but in my ~11 months of owning them I barely feel the bass at all.  I've listened to beats and those things rumble my ears, but I'd say the V-Moda's don't have much more bass than my apple ear pods. 
 
Is my pair defective? Or is this normal?
 
I also have some nice subs in my car so I know bass when I hear it.

Its probably your source. You might need a headphone amp like a fiio e6
