Dosn't anyone think we could use a Hi-Fi Chat room... I know it's not like a forum and a forum has it's uses, but man I still think a chat room would be nice. An MSN Chat room or a IRC chat room.

Even if it was a general discussion chat room, that way it wouldn't really take away from the usefullness of the forums, just make it easier/funer for people to have conversations.

You throughts on this?

Although the forum and PMs are nice and see lots of use, an interactive, real-time opportunity to communicate and have discussions with people would be really nice also. I think they would see lots of use, but that's just my part.

Far too often someone sends me a PM for more info, and because of differeing schedules it takes more than a day to get done with what could've been done in just a few minutes of chat time.

I have been in there several times, but there is usually no talking going on.

msn is the way to go... although it get's very messy when there are 5+ participants in a conversation.

I think, if as many people are online in a chatroom / IM app as there are on Head-Fi, it would be very enough for only one person to see each message you send / receive!

I'm more in favor of MSN Chat rooms, there easier to spead the word about. You can pass out links to msn chats.

I'm willing to start one (a msn chat) right now. I just need some people who would be willing to keep it up. Any volinteers?

All we'd need to do to keep it alive is have a few people (3-5) put a link in there signitures. I will even create a URL redirector that links to the chatroom if need be.

Anyone intrested in helping?
