Received number 239 today. Paid $66 in taxes so in total, with flats, price came to $575 Cdn. Ordered May 31, for those Canadians waiting for theirs.

They're on my head right now, and sound a little wild, much bassier than my SR225s. They definitely need some burn in.

#268 received and is in the process of burning in.

Initial sound after 4hrs is fairly impressive. There is no question in my mind this is a significant upgrade to HF-1, even though the actual improvement to any one particular area of performance is not as significant.

a side observation: who would have guessed Opera and HF1/2 make a great pairing.

#287 n da haus. June 4 order date. 11 weeks and 2 days. Rocking set of cans. I got some 70's rock, remasters in yesterday as well (good timing at least on the part of MovieMars) Grand Funk Live, James Gang Rides Again, Mountain Climbing, Best-O-Ted Nugent. Very crunchy sound, good bass. Well balanced for a Grate-O. Fit and finish are perfect by the way. Great packing for shipment.

why sell them? you can just buy the other stuff in addition to. I would never let mine go even for $2000.

On a closer inspection, I shined a bright LED light into the grills and noticed a few interesting things inside the aluminum cups.

1) The wooden mahogany driver enclosure reaches all the way up to the end of the aluminum cups; meaning the enclosure reaches pretty deep, and none of the aluminum can be seen inside the grills.

2) It is also serialized inside the chamber, with a what looks like a sharpie marker.

3) No more twist ties as strain relief, I see a blob of glue instead..
