The more audio knowledge I gain and the more reviews I read, the more I really start to hate ign's reviews and put an "incaccurate" sign on them. I mean, seriously, this guy thinks 60 bucks is expensive?

It is to most people. If you look here people might be put off posting for budget phones because people expect better here. Have you been to some other forums where they discuss portable audio gear? They think we're freaks.

And they would be right of course... where else would members be perfectly accepting of a guy who sticks earphones up his nose and someone who posts pictures of phones in a hood with 80's Terminator style shades?

I like IGN's reviews because they put things in a non technical nutshell that goes down badly here but is just what the average person needs. I do disagree with some of their writings but on the whole they do a lot better than most of us... since if a novice were to read many of our reviews it would be gobbledygook.

Bah. IGN isn't home to any audio geniuses, but I bought my first pair of KSC-50's based on their review. Of course, they really have no clue what "expensive" means.
