gibson LP has that sweet tone...Strat isn't too bad either

haha. glad to see I'm getting responses.

I'm surprised at all the strat people there are here. I thought folks thought they were sort of vanilla. Then again a lot of badasses like Jimi and Stevie were strat guys, so I guess it goes to show.

For a comic, something like the Strat might be a little too "stock" looking. I think an SG has more character to it (even Les Pauls have become pretty standard) or something a little more different, like a firebird or flying V.

That's what I was thinking!

And the Strat is so NOT vanilla, dude. Hendrix, SRV, and Clapton are three of the greatest, most rockin' guitarists of all time.

yup. It's also very versitile, but I just preferred sound from my SG more
