Hello!

Need some interesting help....  I currently own ATH M50, Sennheiser HD 25-ii, philips SHP9500 (best 60$ I've ever spent fwiw haha)... and my personal favorite sounding headphones of all time... pioneer hdj 1500s. Unfortunately, my hdj's took a long walk off a short pier.

Heres the thing, Im not looking to spend a dime over 300$. I just dont care enough, but the hdj's spoiled me for their sound quality at their price point. I like them better than the hdj 2000's. That said, they are old, and I haven't been keeping up with the headphone game lately. Been relying on the SHP's for casual listening and gaming, but I miss my bass, and the ATH's aren't really doing it for me (HD 25's I use for working and stuff, more beater headphones than anything).

So... I would like a comfortable over ear headphone (yes I know the hdj 1500 is technically "on ear" but you can swap the pads and make them over ear) with some great bass and clarity in the mid and upper ranges. Naturally this means I want close backed headphones, open just leaks too much bass. I care more about bass to be completely honest.

AKG range has exploded, so I feel like I'll be grabbing something from there. I am quite unfamiliar now, and willing to do my own research, but would like to be pointed in the right direction at least.  Sub 300 is mandatory, even if its 300.01$, I wont entertain it.

Used is ok as well, if you have a great recommendation in close to mint condition.

EDIT: I would GREATLY appreciate a non proprietary cable, thats kinda how my hdj 1500 died. Surgery didnt go so well to fix the cable receiver haha.

Thanks for the help!
