sorry to disappoint the enthusiasts... its just an inflatable... but it fits in my trunk and I've only a room to store it... no garage or apartment here.

Kayak, Paddle, Vest, and Pump came from REI.. they had a 15% Sale and I had members' discount...total came out to 500$

Nice!

I built a kayak out of cardboard, wax/polyeurethane, and poplar a few years ago. It's amazing what you can get to float.

If we do a class 2 and a class 3 rapid it's the same as a class 5 right?

Is that the Advanced Elements Inflatable Kayak? The specs look pretty good. It should be more than adequate for your intended paddling needs.

It should be something audio-related to reflect Head-Fi. How about "Sound Advice" or "Sound Waves"?

Yeah that's the same one... the REI guy said that it's not too different in paddling qualities from the 9.5 footer I was looking at so it wasn't a hard decision
