I don't mess with them little fishy's. It takes too long to grow them up to a good "pan fry" size.

I downgraded my 20gallon to a 10gallon recently. After killing off the aiptasia anemones I will slowly start adding more corals. I'm also planning to keep a damsel or some other small fast fish in hopes that it will be able to escape my mantis shrimp.

I love mantis shrimp. share more pics if you can.

What substrate are you using? looks really fine, almost powdery. Nice EboJager, too

Thanks. That was at the "peak" of my glorry. Since then I havn't maintained it and things have gotten overgrown. I'm going to totally redo the tank. If you want advice, I could help out. Or you could go to the following forum and get help there.

Follow this link. It's one of the most beautiful tanks I've seen. And this was his first tank which is even more shocking.

That tank is proof that planted tanks can rival the color of reef tanks

That's some awesome pics of the aquascaping you did. Typically how long does it take you to aquascape a tank of that size? Also how often do you have to perform maintenance on a setup like that?

Nanahachi, the sand is southdown playsand, which is basically an aragonite based sugar-fine sand. I think they stopped selling it under this name and went with "old castle" or something nowadays. I really like it - it is really fine like beach sand and stays nice and white with a good cleanup crew - and it has buffering capabilities.

Man, I've always wanted to plant glosso or riccicia for a carpet. However, you must know how much work it entails . . . still, I'd imagien sitting in front of a nicely aquascaped tank, fav phones on head, must be heaven.

Unfortunately, this past week 2 of my beloved 2-year-old diamond tetras have gone "missing" and I'm the sqeamish type when it somes to dead fish. What filter do you have, kfk227? My Eheim (pro) stopped for a while due to power outages, and I'm too afraid to clean it/restart it.
