Help...

I'm in a bind. I'm a gamer, and I'm an audiophile- two very conflicting things. I can't play games with me 1212m, but I can't stand audio on my audigy 2. What should I do? I don't have any extra pci slots either. I've thought about ditching the 1212m and just getting an x-fi...but again, crap sound. I've also thought about just getting a dac.

What should I do? Is there anyone out there that's found a better solution?

Another vote for the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude here, I have one myself and the audio quality is excellent, you can also easily swap the OPAMP's for an extra boost.

I have recently ordered the OPA627SM+ opamp from their site which is apparently a military grade component. According to FedEx, its just left Miami and is winging its way towards sunny England as I type.

You get all this and the usual X-Fi stuff such as EAX, CMSS, X-RAM, etc as well.
