Help with new system

HI,
I am considering purchasing Sennheiser HD-650 headphones, a microamp from headroom and cardas cables for interconects to my sources (IPOD and electrocompaniet CD player). I listen to rock (Dire straits, Led Zep, Black Sabbath, U2, REM, etc.). Its pretty hard purchasing stuff from reading reviews but I can't easily audition gear.

My questions are- are the Headphones, amp and cables good matches for each other? Are they good matches for the type of music I like? Any suggestions?

By all accounts, HD 650 goes very well with the Micro amp. I've read several reviews stating this opinion.

I think it sounds good with rock (especially U2, REM, Dire Straits), but be prepared for the legions of Grado fans who will tell you that the only possible rock headphone is a Grado.
