HD555 and AD700 are two popular Gaming headphones.

Depends on what ever you want close or open, and do you have an amp? or what kind of sound card and so on
and MONEY you want to put on it.

I believe the HD595 are great for gaming, and doesn't need an amp to fully sound good.

i prefer close phones for i wont have to hear my family's noise.
the most important thing i want from the headphones is deep sound stage.
i thought about investing about 250-275$ at headphones.
the sound card will be Creative xtreme gamer pro or something at this price range.

HD555 vote here, i was mad on gaming some time back and was using them in conjunction with x-fi elite pro, the added slanted spatialization elements that sennheiser added to the HD555 make it ideal for spatial sound recognition and enemy positioning etc

IMHO *IF* they are to be solely for gaming, then there is no need to spend as much as you stated on good gaming headphones when you can get excellent performance a lot cheaper!

but i will use it for also music while the mine thing is the games.
does the HD595 have a better soundstage and better for spatial sound?

and its abit problematic open phones unfortunately, because of family...

what about the AKG-601,HD-280,PC-350, do they have a good spatial sound??????

ahh for music too, lol you said for gaming, fair enough. well i understand then

sen 595 hasnt as far as i know been targeted with the same spatialization driver technology, i may be wrong, but i think any further up the line than 555 they wouldnt want to use that on their HD line, as no one desires false stereo depth for their music.

bizarrely i have heard good things about senn PXC-450 from a aquaintance who plays FPS, he likes their outstanding noise cancelling out external distractions!

ok, than i will look also for the PXC-450, thank you for the fast answering.

any way, what do you think about the other headphones i mentioned?

***edited*** i have looked for the PXC-450 and they are too expensive =[...

I've always loved my DT770s for gaming. They block out lots of sound, they deliver the big bass you need for games, they're comfortable for long periods.

the bass is not the important thing... the important thing is the soundstage. and i can have open phones now because i am moving my computer to my room!
