My HD600s developed intermittency in the right can, so I followed the thread on this board with the fixing instructions. Unfortunately when I was bending the springs, the tiny wire broke just above the top of the hole it goes into (must have been from stress of the springs bending, as I didn't break it directly).

Now i've got a pair of headphones with only one working can - anyone got any ideas how I can fix it? They're still in warranty but I guess I broke it myself.

as long as its the cable you're talking about.. simply pop along to the local senn shop, and pick up a new one... I think they're about £18...

...Alternatively, maybe you was subconciously telling yourself to buy one of the aftermarket cables... Cardas maybe?

I guess it could be soldered back, only trouble is I've got no soldering experience (apart from a few hours back at school) and no soldering equipment. I also don't know anyone who does

Is there anywhere I can send the headphones to get them repaired?

sternip: Well, the fab is in Ireland, but probably you just need to contact the Sennheiser support by email and ask what to do - I'm sure, they'll help...

Sorry... my bad...

If you open up the housing, and take the driver element out... have a look inside, can you see what is broken? - as has been mentioned, there is quite a lot of possiblity for bending the spring clips etc...

Other than that, if it is the hair-like wire that is broken, you'd be much better sending them in for repair, unless you're very competent with soldering...
