Hi, new to this awesome forum

I just recently got a great deal on a a pair of triple.fi 10 and shure se530 IEM's and I'm trying to find a good amp to drive them. I'm stuck between the iBasso D4 and a pico slim and am not really sure which one to get. I've heard of issues relating to using headphone amps with IEM's and hissing problems so I'm not really sure about getting the D4 although it is regarded as a great amp on this forum seeing as the pico slim seems to be designed for IEM's in mind. I'm new to headphone amping and with IEM's would I actually hear a great difference in SQ while using an amp compared to without?

I've currently got a zunehd and an ipod 5g 30gb and although the zune's headphone-out sounds better to me personally, some pages here on Head-fi say that if u amp ur earphones, you should use line-out rather than headphone out due to the cleaner sound associated with bypassing the pre-amp. Will the sound actually be better if I use line-out rather than headphone out and is it possible to get line-out from the zunehd as I haven't encountered any solutions for that as of yet.

THanks in advanced

I have both Triple-Fis and 530s (long story - I like the sound of the triples better, but the 530s fit my ears a lot better). Both love Ray Samuels portable amps (had a Hornet, now have a Predator).
