I think you have several choices for that price. Dont know which sound signature you prefer.  Some of the names that come to my mind are

IBasso DX50
Fiio X3 II
Sony Walkman NWZ-A15
Colorfly C3
Cowon DAPs

There are  dedicated threads for these DAPs here. You can always post your questions there. Hope this helps ..

sorry im new to this forum i like ibasso dx90 found a good deal on it and the XUELIN IHIFI 960 thnink i caN go up in the price range a little bit

DX90 uses an easily replaceable battery. If the IHiFi 960 doesn't have that consider the DX90 over it.

That said, although it looks and might actually be bulkier, I like how it's basically built into a portable amp chassis, so you get a volume knob on top. I just with they reversed it though so when you set it down on the table with the display upright the headphone output and knob are facing you, and if you pick it up the cables hang straight down instead of bending in the rear.

thanks for the help so i now have around £250 wich would be the best purchase

I feel you have to be bit more specific about what you are looking for in the DAP so that forum members can help you select one . For example
    - Your preferred sound signature  ||  Neutral, Warm Bassy, Bright Analytical etc ..
    - Functionalities  you are looking in your DAP ||  Equaliser, DSP,, Bluetooth etc ..
    - User Interface
    - Output power
    - Battery Life
and so on …

I think you would be happy any of these Sony NWZ-A15/Hidizs AP100/Fiio X3 II/Shanling M3/ IBasso DX90. Please note that I don't own any of these DAPs and my opinion is purely based on the reviews and user impression I read here in Head-Fi. I might be wrong and so please take it with a grain of salt.

There are plenty of great reviews posted for the above listed DAPs. Go through them when you get a chance. Also check out the youtube reviews as well, you will get a good feel of UI operations of these DAPs as they wont be so fluid as iOS. Hope this helps ..
