Hi all,

I'm asking for help with wiring these headphones.
I apologize in advance for my newbie terminology.

The left earpiece suddenly stopped working. After opening the earpiece, I discovered that the white wire (marked as A in the picture) got disconnected from the magnet (?).
After soldering the wire back and putting the earpiece together, the red wire got disconnected from another wire and now I'm totally confused.

Do I solder the A+B wires to their respective pins? And where does the yellow one go?

I thank you in advance.

Wow... How did you manage that? this is the left side... the side where the wires come in. Um... Any wires still connected to the metal wire arches? Isn't the Studio supposed to have a small round green PCB? I don't see it in there at quick glance. I have the old K240 (monitor) but I'll try to help. I might need another more detailed picture from another angle to be certain. I'm going to look a the service documentation to see if I can find anything in there to help out a bit more.

okay the + and - from the right speaker is the red + (b1) and white - (a1) wires coming off the arches. (they are still attached to the mini XLR it looks like. I can't tell what pin the yellow (C) one is connected to. If the yellow is connected to it's own pin, it connects to B + Red of the left side, if it connects to the same pin as the white - A1 then the yellow connects to A - White of the left side. This should only leave one wire left on the left side. If Red + B is left then it connects to the pin with no wire connected, if White - A is left then it connects to the pin with the other white wire attached.

I hope this helps. The jack terminals are hard to see in the picture.

P.S. I never seen a Studio without the round green PCB.

TheKisho, thank you!

I think I understood your explanation...

Here's a better picture.
All the wires on right side are indeed connected, each to it's own pin.

I just want to confirm; I now need to connect C to B, and A to A1's pin, correct?

Yep. That should give you sound, and most importantly in phase. Just make sure you test before you close it up. ;P (Nothing more annoying then to close it up and realise you soldered two pins together or you made a poor solder joint, or just doesn't for for some reason). Post a message when it's back together again. Just to let us know it's back in working order.

P.S. Sorry I took so long to respond (I bet you want your 'phones back together and in working order again).
